The village of Velika is situated about 6 km away from the town of Tzarevo and 11 km away from the town of Primorsko. The village disposes of а well arranged botanical collection, which is property of the Serafimovs.
The route starts from the village of Velika, follows the asphalt road to the village of Fazanovo (for about 4 km) up to a place, where the road is cut across by

the Trionska River. Then it continues south, on a gravel road upstream the river, passes by the natural landmark “Popovi rocks” and after 2 km reaches the Skokat place. This is a cool countryside, suitable for recreation, where you can refresh with cold spring water. The path crosses the border of the “Tisovitsa” reserve which is the youngest in the Park. You walk among venerable oak-hornbeam forests, where periwinkle can be seen as well. After 6 km the route leaves the river valley and begins a slight ascend towards one of the main ridges in the Park – the Bosnensko bilo ridge. The climbing ends near one of the largest chapels in the Strandja Mountain – the “Holy Trinity” Chapel, which is situated among a venerable oak forest.
